Black Friday Ferrengi Rules

Unfortunately for the United States, Borlak found a way to return to 20th century Earth and pollute it's timeline through the retail stores.

  1. First political / social commentary cartoon.

This is my first and hopefully my last political cartoon, but I really felt that the whole Black Friday thing has gone way too far, and I need to vent a little bit.

We as a consumer society have gone crazy.. camping out for a week or more at Best Buy, Target, Walmart, (the defunct) Circuit City for deals on Christmas items? What is wrong with us??

I remember not that long ago when I would delight in driving around on Thanksgiving night and not be able to find ANY stores open, and find myself driving in a wondrous virtual ghost town. Now some stores are opening the night before at 10pm, 11pm, robbing their employees of rest to be with their families, and succumbing to the will of the greedy people (greed works both ways, as a corporation hungry for cash and as for people longing to prevent others from getting all "the goods") .. it truly does sicken me.

I'm not a supporter of the Occupy movement by any means, but I wish stores would just open at their regular hours on Fridays after Thanksgiving and Christmas.

Charles Schultz' Charlie Brown was right.
